Producer, Before Dallas
As someone who others trust to get things done, Alpa’s transition into a first-time film producer role was a natural one. And Alpa already had an intimate knowledge of the material. The feature length docudrama Before Dallas was first a television screenplay entitled Princes & Thieves and then adapted into the novel by the same name (both written by filmmaker Vito Brancato).
Pandya had a hand in every aspect in the production of Before Dallas; location scouting, casting, travel arrangements, catering, costuming and even script continuity during shooting. Her experience in working for global non-profits developed her skills in working within a tight budget, which served her well in the production of this award-winning indie film.
Born in India and educated in England and New York, Pandya has lived all over the world, literally. Places Alpa has called home include Africa (Kenya, Tanzania, Zambia, Uganda, and South Africa); Europe (France, Italy, Germany, and the UK); and Asia (Japan and Hong Kong). Alpa is fluent in Gujarati & Hindi and conversational French & Swahili.
